Crokinole is a venerable Canadian dexterity game that has captivated players since the late 19th century. At its core, the game is a test of precision, finesse, and tactical positioning, played on a large, circular wooden board. The primary objective is to flick small wooden discs across the polished surface into various scoring regions, with the ultimate goal being the central recessed hole, which awards the highest point value. Players or teams compete to accumulate the most points by the end of the round, often navigating a series of obstacles or clearing the board of their opponents' pieces to secure victory.

The gameplay mechanics are deceptively simple yet offer profound depth. Each player takes turns shooting their discs from the outer edge of the board toward the center. However, the game introduces a critical 'contact rule': if an opponent has a disc on the board, the active player must strike at least one of those opposing discs with their shot.
